COURSE DESCRIPTION: 
Please join us for a conference on LDLc Management in 2025: Lower Levels for Greater Protection with Heather M. Johnson, M.D., M.S., MMM, FAHA, FACC, FASPC. Dr. Johnson will review the role of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc) in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease and the impact of LDLc lowering for CVD event reduction, and will discuss the latest guidelines and expert consensus recommendations on LDLc thresholds for primary prevention and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  • Review the role of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDLc) in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease and the impact of LDLc lowering for CVD event reduction.
  • Discuss the latest guidelines and expert consensus recommendations on LDLc thresholds for primary prevention and secondary prevention of coronary artery disease.  
  • Discuss current LDLc lowering pharmacologic therapies, including statin and non-statin options and the role for combination therapy.
