COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The orthopedic hand surgery fellowship program, through case review, journal club and didactic sessions, aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical clinical skills, preparing fellows to excel as orthopedic hand surgeons in various clinical settings upon graduation. Orthopedic hand surgery is a rapidly evolving field, and staying abreast of new technologies, techniques and best practices is essential for professional growth. 
 
TARGET AUDIENCE:
Faculty, Fellows, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, Athletic Trainers.  

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

•    Identify different approaches to surgical cases to improve outcomes in performance related to microsurgery, arthroscopic procedures, tendon repairs, nerve repairs and joint replacements. 
•    Interpret and apply research findings related to the latest evidence-based practices and advancements in orthopedic hand surgery to improve patient outcomes.  
•    Communicate with patients and their families to foster empathetic patient interaction and shared decision making, and to address psychosocial aspects of patient care.
