Pediatrics Online Series (Multiple Modules)

This online series includes timely content relevant to the treatment of pediatric patients. Please visit us often as we continue to build this online pediatric medicine library.

We currently offer multiple topics on childhood cancers including content that addresses proton therapy.  Miami Cancer Institute offers proton therapy for pediatric patients. Proton therapy’s ability to minimize unwanted side effects make it ideal for pediatric cancers requiring radiotherapy treatment. Because of the reduced radiation exposure possible with proton therapy, children will benefit from reduced clinical side effects during and shortly after treatment as well as a decrease in the development of long-term side effects. 
