Autism Science at Autism Speaks: Highlights and Emerging Priorities

The prevalence of autism has increased significantly over the past two decades. While this increase may be largely attributed to broader diagnostic criteria and an increase in overall awareness of autism, it nonetheless means there has never been a greater need to gain a better understanding of this condition that affects so many.  Join Dr. Andy Shih as he explains how Autism Speaks is committed to providing the autism community with resources to meet each person’s and families unique needs throughout every stage of life.

Target Audience

Pediatricians, Neurologists, Family Practice Physicians, Psychiatrists,  Hospitalists, Nurses, and other interested healthcare professionals and members of the community.

  • Assess key initiatives in basic, clinical and public health research at Autism Speaks poised to impact services and care for individuals across the spectrum.
  • Effectively identify cases of individuals across the spectrum who could benefit from recent scientific advances in autism or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
